We are pleased to announce that WysDM has reached an agreement to be acquired by EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage. WysDM will immediately take a prominent place in EMC's powerful software portfolio as EMC Backup Advisor. I have been assured by EMC that your investments in WysDM products will not only be fully protected as WysDM transitions to EMC, but you will also have at your disposal the entire EMC offering of information infrastructure solutions.

The EMC Backup Advisor product line will continue to support the existing range of data protection hardware and software while accelerating its support of new technologies as they reach the market. EMC fully understands that WysDM's power lies in the multitude of products against which it can report and analyze and as a true open software company completely supports this goal.

Existing WysDM customers will continue to receive sales and support from current channels and the current product line will also continue under the WysDM brand until the next major release, at which point it will be merged with the EMC Backup Advisor brand.

This acquisition strengthens EMC's portfolio of enterprise data protection software and is a win for our companies, our customers and our partners.
